During 2011-2012 the Ukrainian Scouting Organisation Plast of Australia is commemorating the centenary of its formation in 1911-1912. The Supreme Plast Council “Holovna Plastova Bulava (HPB)” has released both an official centenary logo (for camp badges) and an official postage stamp design that will be released by many of the international Plast Federal Executives around the world.
The Plast Federal Executive (KPS) in Australia is releasing an Australian commemorative Personalised Stamp and first day of issue envelope (FDC) for the International Centenary Jamboree (UMPZ) to be held in Canberra, ACT, from 26 December 2011 to 3 January 2012.
Who is facilitating this project?
George Fedyk of Bandura Collectibles is facilitating this project on behalf of KPS Australia. George is a lifelong member of Plast and a member of the Chornomortsi kurin. He has expertise is releasing these stamps and envelopes being the project manager for the Ukrainian Collectibles Society (UCS) which is currently releasing stamps and covers for the “Ukrainian Heritage in Australia” series. He will be responsible for preparing, producing and distributing these philatelic items.
What is planned to be issued?
- An official Australia Post Personalised Stamp™ with a label depicting the approved HPB centenary design
- A souvenir commemorative envelope depicting the official centenary logo and which will be cancelled on the first day of release in Canberra, ACT
Personalised Stamps
- AUD $0.60 denomination stamps only (current standard domestic letter rate)
- Sheets of 20 Peel & Stick (not gummed) stamps with label (stamp and label form a single unit)
- Stamps will be available to be purchased in the following formats
- Full sheet (NOTE: full sheet includes the special corner block of 3)
- Any quantity
- Pre-release orders can only be placed through Bandura Collectibles on the prescribed Order form
- Full payment on placement of order (orders will not be accepted without full payment).
Commemorative First Day Cover (FDC) envelopes
- Each envelope will carry a single 60-cent Personalised Stamp, cancelled in Canberra, and the envelope will depict the official centenary logo
- All covers will be postmarked on 20 December 2011 at a Canberra Australia Post postal outlet
- Pre-release orders can only be placed through Bandura Collectibles on the prescribed Order form
- Full payment on placement of order (orders will not be accepted without full payment)
- For Australian residents FDC can be:
- Posted direct to the purchaser on the day of issue
- Sent to the purchaser in a package in the new year (postmarked but in mint condition)
- For non-Australian residents FDC can be:
- Sent to the purchaser in a package in the new year (postmarked but in mint condition)
- For an additional fee, posted direct on the day of release
- A limited number of FDC will be available for purchase at UMPZ and for after-release sale through Bandura Collectibles. Once sold no further FDC can be issued

Delivery of ordered items
- All ordered items will be sent in the first week of January 2012 in a single package to the address provided on the Order Form, unless any FDC are to be posted direct to the purchaser on the day of issue.
